Astrophysicists employ a variety of methods to study the cosmos. Additionally, theoretical astrophysicists use computer simulations and mathematical models to predict astronomical phenomena. Laboratory experiments, though more limited, also play a role in understanding processes that can be recreated under controlled conditions, such as nuclear reactions occurring inside stars.
