Despite its successes, Hubble has faced several challenges. Shortly after its launch, it was discovered that the telescope's primary mirror had a spherical aberration due to a manufacturing flaw, which initially rendered its images blurry. This issue was corrected during a servicing mission in 1993, when astronauts installed corrective optics. Hubble has undergone multiple servicing missions to upgrade its instruments and extend its operational life.
